While hitchhiking down a lonely stretch of road, Eric is offered a ride by Hugo Forsythe, a German traveler with a thick accent and
an unsettlingly calm demeanor. Hugo brings Eric to his secluded forest cottage, offering food, shelter, and a warm bed—hospitality
Eric isn’t accustomed to accepting but desperately needs.
The next morning, as Eric chops wood to repay the kindness, a group of hunters arrives, accompanied by a striking young woman named Margaret.
As evening settles, the group gathers on the balcony, listening to a distant wolf’s howl rip through the night. Eager for the hunt, the men
raise their rifles in anticipation, boasting about bringing the creature down.
Hugo, however, cautions them. The wolf, he reminds them, is a hunter too—and only a fool assumes the predator is merely prey.
Sensing the change approaching, Eric excuses himself and slips away to a small storage shack, locking himself inside. His transformation
soon begins, violent and overwhelming, the wolf inside battering the door with desperate strength.
While the other guests retire for the night, one man lingers alone at the pond’s edge. A silent figure emerges behind him—quick, precise,
deadly. His screams vanish into the darkness.
At dawn, a terrified cry rings out as the body is discovered. Eric rushes to the scene, wearing the shredded remnants of the clothes his
wolf tore apart. Hugo, grim-faced, vows to hunt down the killer and leaves to alert the authorities. But Eric knows better. He can’t risk
being discovered—or accused. He flees into the woods, stumbling upon another shack. Inside, he finds a chilling display: personal
belongings taken from previous “guests,” arranged like trophies.
When Hugo appears in the doorway, the truth crashes down. The murderer is no wolf—it is Hugo himself. Eric had been intended as the
first kill from the group, but after the night’s events, Hugo decided to spare him…until Eric uncovered his secret. Now Hugo traps Eric
inside the shack, declaring he will be the final kill instead.
As night falls, Eric transforms once more. This time the wolf explodes through the shack’s wooden walls, unleashing the full force of its fury.
Meanwhile, the remaining members of the hunting party are hunted themselves—slaughtered by Hugo, disguised in a wolf’s hide to mimic
the beast. Margaret becomes the last survivor, cornered and helpless.
But before Hugo can strike, his imitation of a monster comes face to face with the real one.
